Jeff Bowers

managing Director

With over 40 years in the concrete industry, Jeff Bowers leads Bowers & Son Limited as Managing Director. After completing his apprenticeship as a fitter welder at Stewart & Cavalier, Jeff joined his father Raymond in the family business at age 21, when the company was manufacturing troughs, pipes, and mannequin tanks from their Alexandra Street site.

Jeff’s technical expertise and innovative approach have been pivotal in transforming the business into the diverse operation it is today. His commitment to innovation and deep-rooted knowledge continues to drive the company forward.

Scott Hill

Director

Scott has been a director in Bowers & Son Limited since 2012, after taking over from his parents’ interests, John and Glenice Hill and becoming a fourth generation owner in Bowers & Son Limited. Scott has a background in truck driving having spent many years driving the hiab delivery trucks and concrete trucks for the Company, as well as stints driving larger bulk haulage trucks for other local companies.

Scott is the Company’s ready mixed concrete expert with a wide range of knowledge and experience in the industry. He is also involved in the construction of bunkers and silage pits.

Robyn Bowers

Director

Robyn serves as a director of Bowers & Son Limited, where she leads marketing management and oversees key human resource functions. Her longstanding involvement with the company has given her extensive insight into operational management across the business.
Robyn’s strategic approach to marketing and team development plays a vital role in the company’s continued success and growth.

Lachlan Bowers

Director

As a fourth-generation owner of Bowers & Son Limited and son of Jeff and Robyn Bowers, Lachlan carries forward a proud family legacy in the concrete industry. With over ten years of hands-on experience gained since joining the business after school, he has developed deep expertise across all aspects of precast concrete production.
Lachlan oversees operations across both precast factories, with particular focus on our Duracrete water tanks. His technical knowledge and practical experience guide the daily production processes, ensuring consistent quality and reliable service for our customers.

Rebecca Hill

Health & Safety Manager

Rebecca is the Company’s health and safety manager, liaising with various professionals to ensure the Company’s health and safety is continually monitored and managed. She also assists with various administration tasks in the office with Debbie and Tamara, as well as being involved with aspects of human resources.

Chris Green

Sales & Projects

Chris has been with the company since 2012 and brings solid experience in our precast product range. He knows Duracrete water tanks and our wider precast offering extremely well, and he’s skilled at helping customers choose the right product for their specific needs.

 

From the first inquiry right through to project completion, Chris provides steady support and practical advice. His mix of technical knowledge and problem-solving ability makes him a reliable point of contact for anyone navigating precast product decisions.

Shaun Collett

Ready Mix Dispatch (Te Awamutu)

Shaun oversees all ready mix concrete operations from our Te Awamutu plant, backed by more than two decades of industry experience. He began his Company career on the ground manufacturing water tanks before moving into concrete batching in the early 2000s. A stint batching in Australia’s high-pressure mining sector sharpened his technical skill even further.

He returned to us in 2011 and has been our Te Awamutu ready mix dispatch manager ever since, applying a measured approach and solid industry knowledge to the role. Shaun has also recently completed his New Zealand Certificate in Concrete Production, adding formal qualification to his extensive hands-on expertise.

Russell Brown

Ready Mix Dispatch (Otorohanga) & Branch Manager

Russell joined Bowers & Son Limited in 2016, initially based in Te Awamutu before taking the helm at Otorohanga. As Branch Manager, he oversees ready mix concrete dispatch and product manufacturing for the region. His extensive background in Waikato dairy farming provides him with deep local knowledge and an excellent understanding of rural requirements, allowing him to deliver exceptional service to the district’s agricultural and construction sectors.

Debbie Freeman

Office Manager

As Office Manager, Debbie is a busy lady who oversees many of the administration tasks of the business. Based in the Te Awamutu office, Debbie is involved with invoicing and accounts payable. Debbie has grown up with the Bowers team, joining the Company as a school leaver in 2002. She is also involved with the scheduling of precast product orders, quoting and directing enquiries, while also having a sound knowledge of products and transportation and a good understanding of our customers’ needs.

Tamara Barrowcliffe

Administration Assistant

Based in our Te Awamutu office, Tamara brings over a decade of expertise to her role, having joined the company in 2013. She specializes in coordinating precast product orders, providing accurate quotations, and managing customer enquiries with efficiency and care. With her extensive product knowledge and customer-focused approach, Tamara is a trusted point of contact for clients seeking guidance and support across all aspects of our services.

Aaliyah Ashford

Aaliyah joined the Bowers office team in February 2020 after completing her studies at Te Awamutu College. As the first point of contact for customers at our Te Awamutu office, Aaliyah brings both warmth and expertise to every interaction.
Whether you need assistance with orders, pricing inquiries, or general questions, Aaliyah is ready to help. With her extensive knowledge of our product range and natural problem-solving abilities, she excels at finding tailored solutions that meet each customer’s unique requirements. If she can’t help directly, she’ll ensure you’re connected with the right person who can.

Harrison Brown

Harrison joined our Otorohanga branch team in 2019 after completing his schooling in Hamilton. His eagerness to learn and strong work ethic have driven an impressive career progression—from welding and precast roles to becoming a key player in our ready mix dispatch and delivery operations.
As a regular ready mix truck driver and assistant batcher in Otorohanga, Harrison brings versatility and reliability to the team. He seamlessly steps into the primary batching role when Russell is away, ensuring uninterrupted operations. With his Certificate of Concrete Production and extensive hands-on experience, Harrison possesses comprehensive knowledge of concrete batching and consistently delivers quality results.
